The Halifax Humane Society has received a grant from the State of Florida from its sale of pet license plates that allows them to offer FREE spays and neuters for Pit Bulls and Pit Bull Mixes.

This is their second time around for this particular event. The first grant from the State of Florida Pet License Tag program provided funding for the spay or neuter of 120 dogs.

To be eligible for the FREE spay or neuter offer you must be a resident of Volusia County and the owner of a Pit Bull or Pit Bull Mix.

For an appointment please call Halifax Humane Society at 386-274-4703, Ext. 319 (June). June will take your information and set up an appointment for you. The Pet/Vet Cruiser will be used for the surgeries so as many pet owners as possible can be served with this grant from the State.
