On Thursday Feb, 11 the first Fido Fiesta was held at Clancy's Cantina and sponsored by Silly Willie's and Chris' Critter Sitters. It was a cold evening so guests sipped drinks while mingling by the fire. This event will be held again in March so set your calendars for the 25th and don't forget to bring your pet food donation. This is a wonderful evening to get out and socialize with your dogs. See you there!

On Saturday January 23 Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach was the gathering place for the 2nd annual Go Dog Go which was presented by the Southeast Volusia Humane Society. There were dogs of every size, shape, color, and breed participating in the day's events. Silly Willie's was the half way point for the fun pet walk where each dog was treated to a toy and dog cookies. The weather was perfect and the turnout exceeded all expectations. Thank you to all who helped to make this event a success.

October 30th, 2009 marked the 2nd anniversary date as store owners for Vicki and Joann. As a way to say thank you for your support, a party complete with pupcakes, puperazzi, and door prizes was held on November 7th. On Wednesday, June 24, 2009 Silly Willie's had a Hot Dogs and Hound Dogs Block Party in front of their store. The event benefitted the Southeast Volusia Humance Society and Concerned Citizens for Animal Welfare. Thanks to everyone for making this event a successful one. Friday, April 24, 2009 kicked off the annual ACS Relay for Life event at Riverside Park in New Smyrna Beach. The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler team, including Silly Willie's, displayed their commitment to the cause with a M*A*S*H inspired theme, complete with massages for visitors. It was a lot of fun for a great foundation.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 wasn't only a big day for the IRS, but also for the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Relay for Life Team who held a Bark & Wine fundraising event at Norwood's Restaurant. The event was a huge success and a big "Thank You" goes out to every fur-kid and parent that attended.
